On 20 and 21 of March, 2014, under the deployment of VINAFIS, ICAFIS held the workshop "Awareness Raising on Sustainable pangasius Production in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam" in Can Tho City. This activity is a part of SUPA project. The objectives of this workshop were to raise awareness on the ASC standards and about market requirements as well as how to strengthen its linkage. The difficulties in the pangasius production and trading were discussed among farmers, producers, administrative agencies. Participants agreed that it should strengthen competitiveness of small-scale farmers while also build capacity for them through create a stronger linkage among stakeholders, and conducting training.
