The VietShrimp Forum 2021 is held in special circumstances when the country, especially the southern provinces, is experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic. This has greatly affected the economy and morale of the people. With difficulties in transporting goods due to regulations on "green channel", all provinces are applying Directive No. 16/CT-TTg on the implementation of urgent measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic. Shrimp prices fell low and processing factories were faced to many problems. This poses challenges for management units, farmers and businesses.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of VietShrimp Forum 2021, ICAFIS sincerely thanks the participation and comments of more than 1,500 delegates from Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sub-Departments of Fisheries, and shrimp farming associations in the provinces: Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Phu Yen...., farmers from shrimp farming areas, processing enterprises, feed aqua enterprises, shrimp seed enterprises, research institutes and press agency, unit media... The program is held via the online by Zoom and streamed on You tube.
Hot and urgent issues were presented in the Forum related to the shrimp industry will be recorded and sent to the Directorate of Fisheries/Ministry of Agriculture and central agencies, hoping to soon solve for the shrimp industry and helping the people and the business will soon stabilize production.. We will also continue to receive more opinions from guys to find a solution together.
